Steven Candito is Founder, President and CEO of Foresea. Foresea provides various advisory services including strategic planning, regulatory compliance and crisis management to the maritime and environmental communities. Prior to his current position, Mr. Candito was President and CEO of NRC. During his over 20 years career with NRC he grew the business from a start up to the leading global emergency response and environmental services firm. Earlier in his career, he also served as NRC’s Vice President and General Counsel at which time his duties included overall responsibility for sales and marketing, client services, administration and all legal affairs. He has extensive experience with OPA 90 compliance issues with particular focus on vessel owner and insurance matters. Mr. Candito was previously an attorney with Haight Gardner Poor & Havens from 1985 to 1993 where he specialized in maritime litigation and environmental law. Mr. Candito has also served as a marine engineer aboard Exxon USA’s domestic tanker fleet from 1980 to 1985. Mr. Candito is a graduate of Hofstra University School of Law and the United States Merchant Marine Academy. He is admitted to practice law in New York and the U.S. Federal Courts. Mr. Candito is also a past President of the Spill Control Association of American (SCAA). SCAA is the US trade association for the oil spill response industry including contracting firms and other interested parties. Mr. Candito is a member of the Boards of Directors of various NRC related entities and the Spill Control Association of America. He is also a member of the Maritime Law Association and the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers.

Marianne Candito is Executive Vice President of Foresea. Foresea provides various advisory services including strategic planning, regulatory compliance and crisis management to the maritime and environmental communities. Her current responsibilities include leading Foresea’s sales and marketing, legal and administrative functions. Prior to her current position, Mrs. Candito was an attorney in her own practice in Suffolk County New York specializing in real estate, insurance claims and personal injury. For the past 25 years she has assisted with thousands of claims for both individuals and businesses, primarily insurance companies. She has also created and led numerous not for profit organizations and foundations to help those in need. She is a member of the New York State and Suffolk County Bar Associations and a graduate of the University of Maryland and Hofstra Law School.
